FAQs

  • A Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) is a qualified professional who delivers essential foot care services, such as nail trimming, removal of corns and calluses, and overall foot health management. An FHP works to prevent foot issues and assists individuals with mobility or health conditions that impact their foot care. The primary objective is to ensure feet remain healthy, comfortable, and functional.

We treat a wide range of common foot conditions, as fungal infections, corns, calluses, ingrown toenails, thickened nails, and cracked heels. Additionally, we address foot pain, diabetic foot complications, and provide foot care. Our objective is to ensure the health and comfort of your feet through tailored treatment plans.

  • During the initial appointment, a comprehensive consultation will be conducted to evaluate your foot health requirements. This includes a medical history, where details regarding any current conditions and medications will be noted, as these may influence foot health. Following the consultation, appropriate foot care will be provided, along with personalised recommendations to promote foot health and comfort.

  • Preparation is simple—ensure your feet are clean and free of creams or nail polish to allow for a proper assessment. For first-time appointments, be prepared to discuss your medical history and any medications you are taking. Beyond that, there is no need for additional preparation—everything else will be handled during the appointment.

  • The frequency of your appointments depends on your feet and the problems you have.  Most patients come every 6 weeks for routine care and to check general foot health.

  • Yes we can. It is essential that diabetics take extra care of their feet and check their foot health regularly. Diabetics are more likely to have damage to their circulation (vascular disease) and/or damage to the nerves which can lead to reduction in sensation (neuropathy) in the feet so it is important to have regular checks.
